How to go to Everland by subway

This time I want to talk about how to go to Everland by subway or public transport. My last visit to South Korea was on April for 8 days.

For the 3rd time, I choose to stay in Saewha Hostel in Insadong. My favourite place to stay because it is near with everything I want. Transportation,a place to eat,a place to visit, a place to go shopping.

Wondering why I choose to use the subway than by shuttle bus? It was because of the fare is cheaper than by bus.

By shuttle bus :

  • You need to be on time. Because the bus will never wait for you.
  • Have 14 departure locations
  • Fee for round trip are 12,000 Won
  • Time departure around 8.30 am depend from the locations
  • Only 2 or 3 departure time. For more info, visit Everland-Shuttle Bus Schedule
  • Time travel around 1 hours 20 minutes
By Subway
  • You can go anytime you want. No time to rush to catch the subway
  • You can go from the subway station nearest place
  • Fee for round trip around 6,900 won
  • Time travel around 1 hours 30 minutes
  • Need to transfer 3 station.
This is my first time I go to Everland, so I buy the Everland ticket from Klook. So I didn't have to waste my time to queue to buy the ticket.

For your information, this route is the fastest way to Everland. Others will take around 2 hours depending on which station you want to start with.

I start my journey from Jongno 3 (sam)-ga station line 3 (Orange). Choose the subway toward Euljiro 3 (sam)-ga station and get off at Yangjae Station (Line 3 and Shinbundang Line).

From Yangjae Station (Line 3) and transfer to ShinBundang Line. Choose the subway toward Yangjae Citizen's Forest and get off Migeum station (ShinBundang Line).

Transfer to Migeum Station (Bundang Line), take a subway towards Ori station (Bundang Line) and get off at Giheung Station.

Transfer to Giheung Station (Yongin Everline) and get off at the last station which is Jeondae/Everland Station. The train at this station is a bit short. Maybe we can call it as monorail (in Malaysia). When you have a lucky day, you can have a seat but if not, you can just  standing because a lot of elderly are using this train. It is like a countryside.

This photo was taken inside the train to Everland.

View from the toilet entrance. This is at Everland Station.

This is the exit of Everland Station. Take exit 3 on your left toward the free shuttle bus parking lot.

View from above. The time I was go to Everland was on Spring.

Remember to take on your left. Go down the stairs.

Cherry Blossom.
This is the parking lot for Everland Free Shuttle Bus. Parking Lot No. 5
Please take note the parking lot number. It's No. 5. This is the parking lot for Everland Free Shuttle Bus. This is most important because when you want to go back to Everland station, you must wait and queue at Parking Lot No. 5 in front of Everland entrance. The bus will stop in front of the Everland main gate.

Last time, we entered the wrong bus where it sends people to the parking lot. Not the subway station. So we need to hop on that bus again and waiting at No.5.

Have fun at Everland!
